Shopify B2B Features Are Now Available on All Plans, Not Just Plus

Shopify B2B funkcionalumas – dabar prieinamas visiems, ne tik Plus planui

Until recently, Shopify's B2B functionality was a Plus-exclusive feature - reserved for the most expensive plan, typically used by larger businesses. In early April, Shopify changed that: the core B2B tools are now available on all plans, including Basic, Grow, and Advanced.

If you sell to both retail and business customers - or if you've been considering a wholesale channel - this may be the most important Shopify update of the year for your store.

What's now available without a Plus plan?

Basic, Grow, and Advanced plan users can now access the following features at no extra cost:

  • Company profiles - up to 250 business customers with separate contacts, shipping addresses, and payment terms
  • Up to 3 custom price catalogs - tailored pricing for different customer groups, assigned via Markets
  • Volume discounts and quantity rules - automatic discounts for bulk orders
  • Payment terms - set Net 30, Net 60, or other deferred payment conditions
  • Vaulted credit cards - business customers can save payment methods for repeat orders
  • ACH payments - for stores operating in the US market

What remains Plus-exclusive?

For larger, more complex B2B operations that need more than three catalogs, Plus still offers additional capabilities:

  • Unlimited custom price catalogs
  • Direct catalog assignment to specific companies (not only via Markets)
  • Partial payments and deposits
  • Advanced company account management

To put it simply: if you want to test a B2B channel or manage up to a few dozen business customers, the standard plans are more than enough. If B2B is your primary sales channel with hundreds of customers and complex pricing structures - Plus still makes sense.

Why does this matter?

Until now, stores wanting to serve both B2C and B2B customers through a single channel had to choose: pay for Plus, install third-party plugins, write custom code, or run separate stores. Each option was costly and complex.

That's changed. Shopify reports that stores using its B2B tools see on average 33% more self-serve orders within six months and 20% higher reorder frequency from business customers.

A B2B channel no longer requires a separate solution - it's now built directly into your Shopify store.

How to get started?

If you have a Shopify store and want to activate B2B functionality, the starting point is straightforward: Shopify Admin → Customers → Companies → create your first business customer profile. From there, you can assign a catalog with custom pricing and set payment terms.

The more complex part is usually not the activation itself, but structuring your price catalogs correctly, setting up automation, and integrating B2B into your existing workflows. If you want to get it right from the start - we've done it many times: Shopify B2B solution.
